Hobbits are a fictional works diminutive humanoid race who occupy the lands of Middle-earth in J. R. R. Tolkien's fiction. Hobbits very first came out in the novel The Hobbit, in which the main character, Bilbo Baggins, certainly is the titular hobbit. The innovative The Lord of the Rings has more Hobbits as important characters, Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee, Peregrin Took and Meriadoc Brandybuck, along with a few other minor hobbit characters.
