Hobbits really are a imaginary diminutive human like race who live in the lands of Middle-earth in J. R. R. Tolkien's fiction. Hobbits first came out in the novel The Hobbit, when the main protagonist, Bilbo Baggins, certainly is the titular hobbit. The story The Lord of the Rings contains more Hobbits as leading character types, Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee, Peregrin Took and Meriadoc Brandybuck, as well as a few other minor hobbit characters. Hobbits are also briefly mentioned in The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales.
watch The Hobbit online As reported by the author within the prologue to The Lord of the Rings, Hobbits are "relatives" of the race of males. Everywhere else Tolkien describes Hobbits as being a "variety" or separate "branch" of men and women. During the story, Hobbits and other races seem aware about the commonalities. However, throughout the story, Hobbits considered themselves another people. During the time of the events in The Lord of the Rings, Hobbits shared a home in the Shire and in Bree in the north west of Middle-earth, though right at the end, some had moved to the Tower Hills and to Gondor and Rohan.
